cohortは(年齢などが）同じような人々の集団。調査などの時に用いられる言葉らしい。
They checked people in that age cohort to research the seriousness of the illness.
crate
(主に輸送などに使う）木箱。果物などが入っていたりする、アレ。
curb
curbは縁石とか、馬のクツワという意味があるが、動詞の場合は(何か悪いことを）抑制するという意になる。馬のくつわは馬を抑制するものだし……？
そういえば読んでいたcarb関連の記事にcurb appetite という言葉をみつけた。
This tea might curb your craving for sugar.
